Isola is nothing short of astonishing. Rarely do we get the perfect and symmetrical blending of art and word, but it is here, in tandem, in a creation of a beautiful epic myth. No lantern jawed heroes or capes on display here, so this is the book you give to a friend who thinks they can be dismissive of comics as an art form. Isola is one of best of the best, what all comics should strive to achieve. Read Full Review

Olwyn and Rook are intriguing three dimensional characters, whose relationship is fascinating and relatable. Theres just not many more compliments I can give this comic book, but it deserves them all. Im delighted for something so fresh and refreshing, especially in the fantasy genre. The fifth issue in this new series marks the end of the first chapter and thankfully, more Isola is promised in January 19th. I only hope I can last that long. Read Full Review

This is one hell of a comic. Readers are in the midst of what I feel will be a fantasy classic and I cant wait until issue #6 is in my hands. Great artwork picks up the pace for a world that is taking perhaps a bit too long to fully come together. Read Full Review

With that being said, January 2019 can not get here fast enough, that will give the creative team five whole months to get their ducks in a row and get back on track for the crazy journey this series started with. Abnormally large animals, barbaric hunting clans, beautiful landscapes, and an amazing relationship between Queen and guard, or from what it seems now, maybe something a little more.
