CUT?!
• All that stands between MJ and Mysterio's ragtag crew and filming their climactic battle scene is...well, VULTURE, STEGRON, TARANTULA, KING COBRA, RHINO, and SCORPION!
• If this is Mary Jane's last chance to realize her dreams, you can bet she's going to fight like a tiger--or a spider!
• Will filming ever wrap? Will Mary Jane ever go home to the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN? And can Peter forgive her for her Hollywood team up?

There is no question that The Amazing Mary Jane is a fun series. There also seems to need to be something more in order to keep this series going. The premise of having Mysterio trying to redeem himself as a movie director is fun, but has mostly been played out by this point. The Amazing Mary Jane #5 gives a bit of a boost to this concept, but there needs to be more to make this series work long-term. Read Full Review
Shooting the Mysterio biopic only took a little less than half of a year on this side of the comic page. In the months to come, Mary Jane will return to New York for a little bit of time with her boyfriend and begin to promote the movie. Itll be interesting to see Williams distinct mutation of the rest of an actresss work on a big Hollywood motion picture. Read Full Review

If you've been following this series then you will probably get a lot more out of this issue than I did and you may well find this an important addition to your collection. If you haven't been following this series I'd say give this a miss" without the previous issues building up the stakes there just doesn't seem enough in this issue to make it really resonate. Overall, Amazing Mary Jane #5 brought together a good plot and some excitement in the end. The artwork was very bright, especially in the facial features of most of the characters. Unlike something grittier like Wolverine, the tone of the art and story were light and effervescent but didn't overdo it. The whole issue was a light indulgence and interesting view on more of MJ and her life. Read Full Review
The Amazing Mary Jane #5 delivers exactly the sort of ending readers would reliably have predicted at the end of #1: a supervillain smashup to save the successful endeavor of Mary Jane and her new friend Mysterio. Read Full Review
Mary Jane does some implausible things here, but I think that's going to become more and more par for the course. I had fun with this. I'm excited to see what they do with this series now that it's been expanded.
" Well, if it isn't the B-list savage six ! Didn't you fellas learn the first time ?! This is a closed set. "

It was what you can expect from the series. Not sure now that arc is over ill keep it on my list but I feel like it wasnt a total waste of time.
Meh, it was ridiculous.
Uhm, I was really enjoying it, but the fight scene is a total nonsense
Mary Jane defeats the Savage Six in hand-to-hand combat, practically by herself, which is fundamentally unbelievable. The writing's decent and the art is pretty good, but they can't overcome the overreach of the core concept. I'm all for girl power, but not when it's demonstrated in such simplistic terms that it's essentially "she has two X chromosomes therefore she wins." Also, separate from any gender issues, the dialogue gets TERRIBLY didactic when it lays out exactly how the characters have developed.
And that cover. Yikes.
I’m kind of weirded out by the implication here—Mary Jane can take down all of these dudes at once, so how are they ever a threat to anyone?
