• EVERY SPIDER-MAN EVER MUST FIGHT AND NO SPIDER IS SAFE!

This is probably the most emotional and moving installment of Spider-Verse yet which can only mean that the great battle is on the horizon! Web up because it is about to get wild! All in all, a stellar issue and one for the ages. If you still can, pick up your copy today! Read Full Review
The issue suffers a little bit as the storyline's weak points show their strain, namely the way the story has to "weave" (pun intended) in and out of the stories from spin-off books, as well as the relatively nebulous presentation of the villains. It remains strong in other, more metaphysical areas, as it toys with ideas of family, of individuality, and of the big Spider-Theme of "responsibility." These strengths give us a reason beyond the "wow, cool!" of seeing so many Spider-Men, and shows that Some Kind of Uncle Ben doesn't just exist for shock value. Read Full Review
A good issue that moves the plot along with a few compelling conversations thrown in to keep things interesting. Can't wait for the last issue! Read Full Review
Spider-Verse is building steam as it nears its big finale. This issue doesn't suffer as much as previous chapters when it comes to setting up or interacting with the various tie-in comics, although there are still some problems on that front. But for the most part, Slott and Camuncoli deliver a clean, attractive comic that allows many characters their moment in the spotlight and sets the stage for a very memorable final battle. Developments from other issues aside, this is an example of some incredible buildup to a final showdown. The outcome of the events might be a foregone conclusion, to some extent, but that hasnt dulled interest for exactly HOW things shake out and especially WHO walks away. Slotts done a great job with building the readers attachment to a lot of these totems, and the various tie-ins have built them even more, so even if its almost certainly assured that 616 Spideys walk away, who ELSE does is still a great source of suspense and anticipation. I'm still definitely enjoying Spider-Verse, no matter how much of it is based on constantly crossing over into it's tie-ins. Read Full Review
This event has been fun from start to finish, if a little drawn out, but as we move into the climax, I'm excited to see the battle royal that will ensue, and enjoying most of all the love letter this has been to all Spider-Men (And Women. And pigs. And Monkeys. And Giant Robots) everywhere. Read Full Review
Surprise surprise, we still love "Spider-Verse". Not only does it continue to make the weird multiversal vampire family hunting the Spiders a valid threat and give us things like Spider-Punk or Spider-Gwen, but it uses its dimension-hopping premise to dissect the nature of Spider-Man. No, this issue doesn't move up the story a lot and it's mainly a build up for the final chapter. However, it does allow us a closer look at some Spider-Men, and build-up the characters more. Now the Spiders are set, I can't wait to see the result of this great, epic event. Read Full Review
A fun issue that is slightly bogged down by wrangling together the tie-ins Read Full Review
Sure, this book is busy as ever, but this is a highlight of the "Spider-Verse" saga. Read Full Review
"Amazing Spider-Man" #13 is a solid, readying-for-war story that gives readers lots to enjoy, including over-the-top action and amazingly spectacular characters. Slott and friends might be finding spots to shoehorn in some spotlight moments, but the story itself is still vital and progressing. Next issue is the big battle, and this issue is the grand table setting. Slott's learned from past events and gives readers plenty to look forward to. Read Full Review
In two weeks, we'll get the climax of the arc, and just in time for Marvel's Secret Wars leading into a brand new Marvel Universe. I don't want to think too far forward, but I'm really hoping Marvel doesn't renumber this. Read Full Review
Amazing Spider-Man #13 has a couple of nice character and action moments but still feels far too bloated and unfocused for a story that is nearing its conclusion. Read Full Review
"Spider-Verse" will be over soon, but even it's conclusion looks to be overshadowed by Marvel's recent S" announcements. These are all imaginary stories, but at least when the universe isn't coming to a close they feel like they have some weight. The hype machine needed for Marvel's next big event might have cut the legs out from under Slott and company, and that's a shame. Up until now, the book had been carrying along at a nice pace. Unfortunately, it gets too caught up in it's own machinations in this penultimate chapter, and muddies the potential for a strong conclusion. Read Full Review
The big reveal of Uncle Ben being alive is dialed back a bit as we find out that he is from another world as I expected. It is cool to see a version of the character that is a little different than the one we know. Silk and Spider-Gwen get a few cool moments in this book while Peter Parker picks his jaw of the floor and really doesn't do much.
This new Uncle Ben bothers me. He's a cowering old man who had to convinced by Superior Spider-Man to join a fight he seems ill-fitted for. I'm assuming he will die again in the final battle because he's an embarrassment compared to the dead 616 version of him. Also, whatever happened to the Spider-Man, Aaron Aikman from Edge of Spider-Verse #3? Has he even made an appearance yet? A solid chapter though. It looks like the Inheritors are starting to take a beating with Solus getting pretty messed up in this issue. Hopefully the final chapter is epic because part 4 and 5 kinda fizzled a little bit after the excellent first 3 chapters.
