The Black Panther is starting his return to Earth. There's plenty of development that needs to be done before we leave the sci-fi realm, though. M'Baku makes it violently clear that T'Challa isn't ready to mount a throne, not in outer space or Wakanda. He has more enemies to conquer within and without. This fight between T'Challa and M'Baku has been brewing a bit since they first met. And now it happens and its over something, you might not expect. Meanwhile, Wakanda on Earth is enjoying some good fortune but still missing its King and its primary goddess, Bast. The absence is felt. Great one! Although this obviously reads much better collected like all Coates's work, I do think I like Acuna's perspective the best.

With his memories restored, T'Challa focuses obsessively on contacting Earth. M'Baku calls him on the carpet for ignoring his revolutionary comrades, and they come to blows. Quality storytelling is lavished on a small but satisfying chunk of plot; while the pace remains slow, this new arc seems headed in a promising direction.
This was a solid start to this arc.
Always interesting to see M'Baku and T'Challa butting heads.
