Its all over, and as Remy would say...I dont love it. And though I wish this could go on forever, this was a fitting finale. Lets see what Hickman will bring us. Though if he undoes all of Kellys great work I wont be best pleased. Read Full Review
Rogue and Gambit are such an icon couple and seeing their love and strong connection is an amazing thing. Thompson 100% did this comic justice and I couldn't imagine anyone else doing it as great. I'm so thankful for this! Read Full Review
Filled with both cool action and pleasant character moments, the final issue of this short series ends on a high note. Mr. & Mrs. X is a delightful comic that really knows what to do with its lead characters. Read Full Review
This series delivers an excellent denouement for both its eponymous couple and the current state of the X-Men. Read Full Review
Well the book is all done and I am quite sadden. The book had so much potential and this issue alone is a great example for it. Kelly Thompson does wonders with these two. Can make you feel for the characters and we get great action scene in this issue! Only downside would be something felt a bit rushed. Read Full Review
I hope see more of this two (and maybe with their future family).
Gambit -- with plenty of help -- defeats Candra and emphasizes his control of the Thieves' Guild. It's nice to give him some center-stage time at the end of the series; it fixes the perennial problem of him coming in behind his wife in terms of narrative attention. The whole Guild plot is a little limp and obvious, with Candra playing the villain in the stupidest possible way. That's probably why the script is upfront about tying it to Remy thematically, and that gives the plot the relevance it needs.
"But there is NO décision to be made, Candra... You ask the impossible. I cannot choose between people i love, nor between sides of myself, as your deal demands."
A fine enough ending. I can't say I'll miss this series, but it was fun.
A solid ending.
