Even with the Punisher, Ghost Rider, Blade and Hulk (Jen Walters) at Freyja's side, how many Dark Elves can one goddess kill? While Freyja's team heads for the swamps of Svartalfheim, Captain America's rescue mission in Jotunheim faces the wrath of giants, Captain Marvel leads a global assault team against Malekith's allies and the Black Panther defends Avengers Mountain against a siege of mythic proportion. Weird Science Marvel Comics - Dispatchdcu May 16, 2019

Jason Aaron is a masterful storyteller that once again proves the stage isnt too big for him to handle a full scale, company-wide event crossing years of his THOR run. Dautermans art is vigorous, spirited, powerful and shows depth within each scene. This issue is a must read moving forward in the series, as well as the characters of Venom, Thor, and the Avengers. If the issue focused more on the battle at Svartalfheim, this reviewer probably would have given the issue a 9 or higher. That said, it was still a fantastic read! Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - Matt Attanasio May 15, 2019

WAR OF THE REALMS #4 helps Marvel's latest event gain some speed, but it doesn't do enough to deepen the story as a whole. Aaron's storytelling is still sharp, just not quite fulfilling here. Luckily, Dauterman and Wilson have no problem delivering outstanding pages. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Rokk May 17, 2019

The War of The Realms #4 is another kick-ass read. Aaron's heavy metal writing combined with Dauterman's stunning artwork makes for an action packed and wild big event issue. The War of The Realms #4 is pure fun in the form of violent action and bad-ass moments that would make a 1980's action movie jealous. If you have skipped on The War of The Realms then you definitely need to go buy this big event when it comes out in trade format. It is well worth your money. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett May 15, 2019

Aaron and Dauterman have been a hell of a duo elsewhere, but War of the Realms continues to limp along with an event that's better concepts than execution. The issue feels rushed and slapped together. The event isn't being given the life it needs to breathe and stand out. As the climactic chapter of the story Aaron has been weaving for years, War of the Realms seems to be going out not with a bang but with a whimper. Read Full Review
