This series was literally advertised as a continuation of MacKay's 30-issue run on the character. I'm not going to act like I like that they did a new Issue 1, because I don't. However, it's not like Marvel said this would be a completely fresh starting point. It was more described as a new chapter of phase. Either way, that series I and Psycamorean is definitely recommended. Not only will it make this series better for you, as Psycamorean said, but it's also just great reading regardless.
Well I'm actually telling you that you would understand the series better if you started with where the run started. So while you shouldn't have to do that, you're going to have to if you want to understand the series. It's a great run, I think you'd like it.
