This is Jed Mckay's weakest plotline yet. And when Marc changes personalities, he physically changes as well? Where did that come from? I like Scarlet Scarab, but he's far better with Tigra. This entire plot and villain are not working for me at all. Let's hope this closes up next issue, so we can get a better storyline.

Kreniigh - Nov 10, 2025

I thought that was a pretty funny moment -- in the panel where he says "the name's Jake Lockley", his hand is just lowering from slapping on a fake mustache he's been keeping in his costume for just such a moment. I mean, Jake has a fake mustache, logically he has to.

Jawnyblaze - Nov 13, 2025

I like Kreniigh's take on it. Nothing like that occurred to me, but now that it's been put in my head it is now canon. Love it.

I want to like this a lot more than I do. I'm a huge Ghost Rider fan and a story like this appeals to me. But the execution isn't it for me. I'm not a fan of the art and the writing is a little off. The stuff with Danny and his sister was ok. Not great, but fine. I like Fantasma but there isn't much here for her to do. I'm not a fan of Robbie and this issue did nothing to change that. This more

First story was absolutely perfect. Beautiful art, great writing, great story. There's a time and place for subtlety but sometimes you need blunt examples when subtlety isn't grasped by the ignorant. That was the most fun and enjoyable mini story/part of an anthology I've read in a while.

Generally one shouldn't give just a plain 10 for a comic based on the first story.

But this time I'll make an exception.

Something something "comics are now too political" something something "it's woke and bad!"

Seeing batman beat up white supremacists automatically give this a perfect score. The art, action is so dynamic and Darren Warren Johnson is one of my favorite upcoming writers. This is my favorite annual of all time. If people are honestly sensitive and pissed off that Batman is beating up clearly evil people (doesn't matter which race they are), it tells more about them. While this is still a very interesting story and well written and drawn, this was a bit of a down issue. The conflict between the devils was obvious and being predictable in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but this one felt a little like going through the motions. Despite that, the art was still really really good and the characters are interesting. Looks like next issue will pick up a bit.

Incredible book that's very well written and the art is out of this world. Each panel is wall-hanging worthy. As a fan of the old movie I enjoy the setting and expanded story of the world. For people who aren't familiar with the old movie it's probably standard sword and sorcery fare, except with god-tier art. Some moderately funny comedy with the "modern person learning to deal with a primitive world" trope, but otherwise nothing really interesting or well done.
