Typical Gun Honey story. James Bond lite, with some action, some fan service, some disguises and then it's over. It's enjoyable slop.

There was a bit less action than I'd expect in a story about Laura or a Sabretooth, but the drama and conflict were well handled. The writing was good and I enjoyed the book, but man it was kinda ugly. I didn't like the art at all. Good story though.

This was a very interesting twist on Carol and on the Phoenix. The moral dilemma is understandable and well depicted. The writing was great and the art was solid. Great book for fleshing out this alternate timeline, it's not critical to the main story (yet, at least) but it does add depth to the world and tell a good story. Looking forward to how this plays out.

I guess fans of Kang might enjoy it? Unfortunately I'm not one, and I didn't. I don't want to mark it down too much because I could appreciate that it was well written and drawn, it just wasn't a story or about a character I care about. The scene with Shakespeare was moderately amusing, at least.

Really fun issue, I like the completely random cast and the setup for the plot works for what it's supposed to be. If you like Mojo and the meta comedy that his whole premise revolves around, you should enjoy this book. If you don't, you won't.

Typical of early stage crossover anthologies, mostly interesting stories, good art, serves its function of world-building to set the stage to come.

It's really irritating that the users on this site most devoted to reviewing X-Men are hate-readers who don't even pretend to be acting in good faith.

Because of their bs, I was tempted to rate this one-shot higher than I think it deserves, just to even things out a bit, but I won't.

This issue is very skippable. If you are hoping to read the Age of Revelation event but also are a bit stretched financially by the enormous number of tie-in series, you should know that this one-shot has three stories, and only one seems likely to matter to the overarching event: the first one, which is written by Al Ewing.

Ewing takes us back to Arakko, which is where the action of his (awesome) X-Men: Red series took place. It gives us a few glimpses of the ways that Arakko has developed in the years since the Genesis War, which took place at the same time that Orchis was making its move on Earth. I would love for Marvel to just give Ewing a new on-going series set on Arakko, but unfortunately this brief tale didn't give him enough room to do anything truly interesting. There's a big reveal at the end that I won't spoil, but if it does come into play in another series, it's also not something that will require explanation or exposition.

The second story is about Hulkling and Wiccan, and if you are fans of them, you may enjoy it. I' don't have any strong feelings about them, as the only things I've read where they appear have featured them only marginally, so I would not be a good judge of whether this story does them justice or not.

The third story allows Ryan North to fit the Fantastic Four into this event, but not in a way that seems like it will make any difference to the bigger plot.

Again, if you are looking to trim the number of Age of Revelation comics you're buying, skipping this issue is very reasonable. more

This has been a fun arc. The Bizzaro Illuminati are a cool idea and watching these atypical Avengers interact has been fun. The one exception in my opinion is Carnage, he doesn't really seem to fit. I get that it's not the usual Carnage, but I still haven't been a fan. Otherwise, good writing, good art, fun story, I've been enjoying it.

Incredible art, incredible writing, love the setting they're building. This is going to be a fun event. Familiar, but most importantly fun.

I read this comic twice in a row. Sure, it might have some flaws, but lately it’s been so rare that I can only give it the highest rating.

Fun issue. It has a good tone, good writing, solid art. Good stuff for a spin-off side character book.

I'm mostly enjoying this series, the writing is (usually) solid, the art is not bad. Just one thing from this issue really annoyed me and it was just an example of inexcusable bad writing: when the friend shows up and has the bad guys held at gunpoint, the ranger lady goes "where is everyone else? you came by yourself? one person isn't enough!" and just goes on and on ranting about how he came alone. The whole time I was thinking "STFU lady! Let the criminals take the guy serious, you might have a chance!" but no, she basically told the bad guys to just shoot this fool because just one guy ain't enough. Dumb. more

The main story is actually really funny, it's been a while since a comic has made me laugh like this one did. I think Wells nails the characterization of everyone involved, but it is a Deadpool story so things are wacky. I assume the Morrison Batman/Deadpool will be more Batman centric, but I guess we'll see in November.

Cap & Wonder Woman should've been longer. I also think the art was too rushed, which took away from the emotional impact of the story.

Jeff & Krypto is exactly what you'd expect. Very cute, light reading.

Daredevil & Green Arrow is a bit weak, but what do you expect from Kevin Smith? There are some cool moments where the red and green aesthetic is played with nicely.

Rocket & GL is funny but short.

DKR & OML is... bad.

Logo is fun. I want more stupid Amalgam comics.

I was actually surprised by this. Everyone knows that I hated Zeb Wells Spider-Man run, and I had low hopes. But surprisingly the main story was good. I dont think people understand, but it is so surreal seeing Deadpool AND Joker standing next to each other. It just blows my mind on how monumental this is. And I have to give credit, but Zeb Wells writing here actually didn't offend me at all. It was good, and I liked the back up stories.

So overall, aside from the coloring I did like this issue. I will give out credit to Zeb Wells, he proved me wrong. He can put out good stories, so I got to acknowledge this. more

I'ma just judge this on its cover story, which is has surprisingly tight writing. A Deadpool comic is only as good as his jokes and these ones are great.

This issue is ultimately a ton of fun with some interesting combos and great art. The dialogue hits art. It has my favorite marvel and my favorite dc character share panel space, which i never pictured happening.

Its a celebration of these two comic book juggernauts.

MAIN STORY

-“THE DEAD OF KNIGHT” by ZEB WELLS, GREG CAPULLO, TIM TOWNSEND, ALEX SINCLAIR, and CLAYTON COWLES: Deadpool is sent to Gotham City to eliminate Batman, who is busy trying to stop the Joker. A magnificent story full of references and brilliant dialogue where the two heroes are perhaps the most opposite, with excellent fight sequences.

SHORT STORIES

-“THE GUN & THE SWORD” by CHIP ZDARSKY, TERRY DODSON, RACHEL DODSON, MICHELLE MARCHESE, and JOE CARAMAGNA: It tells how, in an alternate reality, Wonder Woman and Captain America were allies in stopping terrible villains since World War II. It's a beautiful story about the friendship of two symbols of hope.

-“CATCH” by KELLY THOMPSON, GURIHIRU, and JOE CARAMAGNA: Krypto and Jeff the Land Shark play catch, but on a larger scale and at breakneck speeds. An excellent story that entertains and makes you smile without dialogue.

-“THE RED AND THE GREEN” by KEVIN SMITH, ADAM KUBERT, FRANK MARTIN, and JOE CARAMAGNA: Daredevil and Green Arrow must learn to work together to stop a deadly H.A.N.D. attack on Hell's Kitchen. A dizzying story full of action and mind-blowing artistic angles.

-“ROCKET RACCOON HAS A GREEN LANTERN RING NOW” by AL EWING, DIKE RUAN, MORENO DINISIO, and JOE CARAMAGNA: The Guardians of the Universe want to recruit a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy as a way to unify both police forces, but they don't realize that recruiting Rocket Raccoon is a mistake and a test of their patience. Hilarious story.

-“SHOWDOWN” by FRANK MILLER and JOE CARAMAGNA: The legendary Frank Miller narrates a fight between his Dark Knight Returns version of Batman and Marvel's equally old and bitter futuristic version, Logan. This is a work of art and an important milestone in comics history.

-“ENTER: LOGO!” From Ryan North, Frank Martin, and Joe Caramagna: the perfect blend of Lobo and Wolverine is ready to rock the galaxy. Welcome to Logo. more

Between ed mcguinness always beigna. Pleasure and Joe Kelly's voice for Norman, this might be my favorite issue of the run so far.

I can always get behind other people seeing how hard Peter works, but the play here with it being norman and how that effects not only his actions as Spidey but his mental state, is pretty entertaining to read and provides the necessary depth to be a backdrop for the action sequence here.

This culminated in Norman using his experience fighting Spidey to his advantage against the other web warriors which was really fun. And again, mcguiness just brings it every time. That splash page is brilliant and kinetic in the best way. I had a good time with this one
