What if instead of a blind Catholic son of a bum, Daredevil was ex military with a healing factor? That's pretty much my impression of this book. (I know the "instead of" pretty much stripped Daredevil of all of his main characteristics but that's the vibe I got.) It was fun. The art is pretty good and the writing and plot remind me of early Image stuff. Not groundbreaking or award winning, b more

Big fan of this run. The writing is great and the art is solid. I like Wendigo as the legacy Wolverine here and Nightcrawler's part is great too. Nice seeing him getting to live as a normie but still has his hero's heart. Good stuff.

I REALLY liked this. The plot isn't the most original ever but the writing and art was really good and I love the concepts presented with the villain being a badass demon lady and the young revenger being a boy, it's typically the other way around. I'll definitely be following this book.
A tavern boy’s sheltered life is overturned by the arrival of a towering, draconic woman, a wayward soldier from a distant war who single-handedly lays waste to his entire village. He swears an oath of righteous vengeance but in order to fulfill it he’ll have to seek training… from the warrior woman herself. Ferocious is epic fantasy on an in...
The main story was very entertaining but probably my favorite part of this book were the first three backup stories. All three were great and I NEED a follow-on mini series of the Strange/Constantine story.
The Dark Knight and the Merc with a Mouth team up for an adventure so mind-bending you'll think you’re in a dream! Brought to you by legendary creators Grant Morrison and Dan Mora! And be sure not to miss these incredible extra stories: Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson team up with Hayden Sherman for a magical Constantine/Doc...

This is a decent story but it's not particularly brave or interesting, it doesn't venture too far off the beaten path of Spiderman stories. My least favorite of the AoR books so far but it's not bad.
NONSTOP MAYHEM! X YEARS LATER, Mayhem continues to maul New York City! Spider-Man doesn't have much luck containing Mayhem…perhaps SPIN and GHOST-SPIDER can help?
This plot doesn't seem to be going anywhere in particular but it's an interesting slice of the AoR world. Quentin's kids are little psychos, products of the environment they were raised in. The whole encounter where they hit a wall that they weren't expecting and couldn't handle, then Quentin realizing what it was and telling them to back off and having to make excuses was cool. They're paintin more
TARGET: RACHEL SUMMERS! X YEARS LATER, the Omega Kids play their favorite game…hunting down mutant traitors! But have they bit off more than they can chew by attacking Rachel Summers? And what will Quentin and his students do when their mission calls for a sacrifice?
The art and writing on this book are fantastic. Love the world they've built and the characters they've developed. The twist surprised exactly zero people I'm sure, but it was well done. If this was the final issue of the series (gave those vibes) then it was a good ending point. I would have loved to see what Ralph Bakshi could do with this as a movie.
NEW STORY ARC
After the rebellion’s bloody climax, a new order rises from the ashes. As Soluna confronts the consequences of her fateful choice, old wounds reopen and new alliances are tested. But in a world reshaped by sacrifice and betrayal, peace may prove just as dangerous as war.
Great issue, the writing is consistently sharp with this book. The plot and characters are really interesting. The art is pretty rough and not my cup of tea, but I can look past that for the overall story. Enjoying this one a lot.
NEW STORY ARC / JUMPING ON POINT.
Following the conclusion of Henry's brutal case in Montana, Henry has no time to rest, as he's immediately thrust into solving the murder of one of his closest family members.
The Spine Tingling Second Story Arc of The Fresh New Fantasy hit of the year starts now in...

I'm really digging the setting and lore of this world. This was a good issue for fleshing out characters more. The writing and art is really good (if a little barebones at times in both aspects). There's not a super clear direction so far, we have the outline of a direction and the setting is still being developed. The reveal of the importance of the title at the end was humorous and cool. Ho more
The legend of Loloi and her mysterious ally has spread.
And now the most dangerous people in the world are following the scent...
This is an interesting story with a good cast. It's not a novel concept but the execution is good. Good writing and art. The only complaint I can really come up with is that I'm not as familiar with Red Canary as the writer seems to think, but that's probably on me for not being as familiar with DC in general as I am with Marvel. I'm enjoying it.
The confrontation with Red Tornado can wait no longer: Cyborg, Power Girl, Green Lantern Simon Baz, and Red Canary have taken part in one too many missions where they didn’t have all the facts. But Reddy’s wound up too: his sacrifices have paid off, and he knows the variable that needs to be eliminated to save Earth from being remade in the ima...
Awesome conclusion. Very satisfying. Rosenberg is crazy underrated.

Good story, love the emotional core of Havok with his son and the supporting cast of Omega Red, Fantomex, Domino, etc. Relatively paint-by-numbers plot but the ride is enjoyable. Not the most ground breaking book of the week, but it's fun.
SIX AGAINST WOLVERINE! X YEARS LATER, Sinister's Six race to find the cure that could save them! But is the chance at life worth an encounter with Revelation's Angel of Death - Wolverine? Or will the team kill each other first?
I thoroughly enjoy the concept and execution of the Killuminati, the cast is great, I'm just not certain I love the actual story that serves as the foundation here. The art is ok, the writing is great. I'd love for the Killuminati to be a long term addition to the Marvel villains roster, but I highly doubt they'll stick around after this story.
WHO IS THE TRAITOR? A catastrophic piece of intel reveals that the mastermind behind the creation of the Killuminati is a member of the NEW AVENGERS! As the team musters to stop Iron Apex from creating more Illuminati doubles, paranoia threatens to tear them apart. Can this unstable team hope to survive a traitor in their midst?

The best book being published right now. I can't wait until it's inevitably made into a TV show, hopefully it's given the budget and talent it deserves. It feels like the last page is the next page after the first page, it's that good.
The truth will set us free. Alternatively, it'll kill us all. Let's find out.
It’s a shame that the power fantasy is not topping the charts and selling out. It’s is one of the most intriguing and smart comics on stands right now. It’s the best X-men story of the last five years and nobody is reading it. If you like superhero comics, you should check it.
The truth will set us free. Alternatively, it'll kill us all. Let's find out.
Chapter 2: Rules of Civility
Hector arrives inside the world of his favorite story and comes face to face with an unexpected version of a familiar character.
Al deals with the local wild life.
This was a feel-good issue. Just an enjoyable little slice of life intro to Simon's "happy" phase. I enjoyed this one a lot.
NEW STORY ARC

Really good book, this is another one I think would work better as a tv show. Works great as a comic too, but I think the gaps that would be filled in live action would go a long way. For me, anyway. I loved the part toward the end with the choices. Very video-gamey.
DIE returns for an epic new story of a dark fantasy adventure game gone horrifically right or wonderfully wrong. A year after their return from the hellish game world, the players gather for Chuck’s wake. They’ve finished with the game. The game isn’t finished with them. Another good comic that seems ready made for the big screen. Good art, writing, story, everything.
