The story itself was fun but Dan Mora's art is on a whole other level and is some of the best art I've ever seen. This series is truly special with the combo of Mora's breathtaking art and Waid's fantastic voice for these characters.

In my eyes Dick Grayson and Superman are the example of what we should all strive to be. But a huge flaw to this series is how Tom Taylor is constantly having everyone say what a great guy he is that it's tiresome. I still enjoy the series but miss the days where Taylor excelled at showing how great these characters are rather than constantly saying it where it just comes off as pandering for no reason.

I've also been fairly neutral on all the super hero shirts and mugs they have, but that meme shirt was just painfully corny. more

I really like Kelly Thompson but this book is ruff. Don't understand all the love this book's getting.

Honestly I am going to be in the minority, but I really enjoyed it. I understand there are many valid concerns and criticism but I liked this run so far. Good art from Jorge Jimenez (he's carrying this more than James Tynion IV), Batman can be resourceful, the story is engaging, Bruce Wayne realizing he's taking Batman too seriously and Bat family are slowly realizing the Zurr En Arrh robot isnt what it seems and Bruce Wayne is really resourceful.

I do hope after Zdarsky's run we go back to basics for a new Batman run. But I hope this run will eventually win back fans. more

I actually enjoyed the continuity built that happened in this issue! I think it's inventive and creative how Zdarsky is trying to tie it all together across the different eras. I'm really interesting where this is going next.

This is certainly an unpopular opinion, but I think what Zdarsky has done with Zur and Failsafe has been really clever. It draws on the comic’s long history and the character’s paranoia and the conflicting images of Batman as a one-man army and role as patriarch of the Bat-family. This issue is tense, ramping up towards a conflict I’m excited to see how Zdarsky handles.

This issue was fantastic and feel that my patience with this run is now being rewarded with some very compelling ideas and connections. I could feel my adrenaline pumping as the story progressed and was at the edge of my seat the whole read.

Additionally, Jimenez's art is brilliant and elevates the issue to another level. Jimenez is not only my favorite current artist in comics but will go down as one of the best Batman artists in history which is murderers row of talent. more
