Sirens of Sequentials - Jennifer DeRoss May 19, 2019

All in all, the women are given the introductions they deserve and the men exemplify the results of damage they can each cause. While there is still a lot of action packed into the pages of this issue, it took some much needed time to move the plot forward in new ways. This team has made it clear that their world is only going to get bigger from here. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Andrew Huard Jun 8, 2019

Pepose and the creative team are quickly proving that Spencer and Locke 2 is a multilayered series that looks to address several social issues. The ending will only raise more questions as it is both empowering and heartbreaking at the same time. Spencer and Locke 2 should absolutely be in readers pull list as this series will no doubt get crazier with each new issue. And thats just how it should be. Read Full Review

When all is said and done Spencer & Locke Vol 2 #1 feels more like a reminder of how Locke's world works. Nothing new to see here just more of David Pepose putting together a wicked issue again. (Hey if it works why mess around with it?) Read Full Review

The new plot has held up to all of my expectations, and then some. I love the mirror dynamics they're introducing. I think it'll make for a strong plot, especially in the long run. Not that I have any clue what is going to happen next. But I'm sure looking forward to finding out! Read Full Review

Another thing that makes a Spencer & Locke story so fantastic is the beautiful artwork by Jorge Santiago Jr and the colors by Jasen Smith. It's so beautiful and fun to look at. It's got an exciting noir feel to it, but it's often contrasted by bright colors and an almost cartoon-like art style at times. It's a beautiful aesthetic. The Spencer & Locke story just keeps getting better and better. With thrilling action, intriguing story, and fascinating villains, there is never a dull moment. I've been invested in the story since the beginning, and I would recommend this series to anybody. Go out and grab this issue and all the ones that came before! Read Full Review

    Geek'd Out - Stephanie Pouliotte May 15, 2019

It still impresses me how this comic integrates parts of their source material so organically, in both the plot and layout. For a comic with this kind of premise, the references can seem jarring and worked in. However, Spencer & Locke 2 has found its balance, and this issue has some great moments where they wove things in really well. We also see familiar faces from the funny pages, albeit in decidedly less funny situations. The tie was a nice touch, though. Read Full Review
