Assault on Arkham Asylum! Wolf Spider needs one more painting, and Batwoman will do anything to keep it out of his hands even if it means entering the notorious asylum!
Jeremy Haun returns to solely providing the pencils this issue, and things are better for it. With the artwork more consistent throughout this issue, Haun's artwork really gets a chance to shine with the story being packed with plenty of action. The opening fight in Arkham Asylum is wonderfully illustrated, with Haun's pencils both capturing the chaotic nature of the fight, whilst showing Batwoman to be effortlessly moving from opponent to opponent and subduing them. Add to that some nice facial expressions, such as Batwoman's smug smile in some panels, and this is one fine looking comic. Read Full Review

Batwoman #30 is a good book but a chunk of the mystery is quickly resolved, so much so that I found myself underwhelmed. Still there's enough to earn a recommendation from me. Read Full Review
Batwoman #30 continues the Wolf Spider/Paintings Mystery story, but only pushes it forward a bit. That's not a huge problem since the villain and story are rather generic in the first place. I'd rather see more of Kate and Maggie's relationship and we do get a bombshell this month that will setup a story line that will be controversial and awesome. Give me that and finish up with the Wolf Spider and I'll be just fine. Read Full Review
Outside of my narration gripes, I didn't find much wrong with this issue, and it certainly looked very nice. The one thing that stood out to me about this issue was that nothing much actually stood out, everything just felt a bit typical. Still not really sure what the paintings are supposed to lead too, the Arkham breakout wasn't all that interesting with D-list inmates, and so on. It was a fine issue, just not the best.
