I dont like the painterly look of Kolins work. But I guess the painterly look is back in fashion in comic books. The one thing I cant pin on Kolins is for making static poses. Many times painted comic books feel stilt. They dont here because Kolins is a master storyteller and understands motion and dynamism in comic book storytelling. Read Full Review
All in all, Im not so much off-put or bothered as I am just disappointed in how familiar all these pieces seem, and Im hoping that it gives our old heroes a shiny new coat of paint for their ninth decade. Of course, I was hopeful that Zero Hour would do the JSA justice, too. Look where that got me. Read Full Review
