This is a good companion piece to Winick's other stellar book this week, GENERATION LOST, showing Power Girl's perspective of Maxwell Lord's act of global deception. As dark as things get (and they do get dark), I'd describe this title as light and appealing in the best way, because that's exactly what it should be. Any readers concerned about Gray, Palmiotti and Conner's departure from this title should breath easy knowing it's in good hands. Read Full Review

I'll admit, once I saw Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray, and Amanda Conner were leaving this title, I had every intent of walking away as well. Basri's cover and the preview art I've seen convinced me to give this issue a try. I'm glad I tried it. Winick's Power Girl is conflicted about her relationship with the JLI and her feelings for her former teammates Booster Gold and Maxwell Lord. Character first (wow, don't remember if I've ever said that about a Power Girl comic before). It appears that Winick has also found a loophole to bring another former Leaguer into the hunt for Maxwell Lord, but we'll have to wait until next month to find out for sure. And you know what, I'm looking forward to it (yeah, can't remember saying that before either). Worth a look. Read Full Review

Im going to give Winick a story arc to decide if I want to stay on this book, but one issue in has me on the fence. It all depends on how the last-page revelation plays out. Read Full Review
