I'm hoping this isn't the end of the Atlas story arc, but something tells me he's done for. As for Krypto, he needs to be in more Superman books. What he does here is just too much fun. This is the Old Yeller of superhero comics and not to be missed. The art is excellent and the story is simple and fun-filled. What's not to like? Read Full Review

When it comes down to it though, this arc is all about the relationship between Superman and his dog. The Superman vs. Atlas fight is really only an excuse to give Krypto a big push, and in that respect, it succeeds beyond even the wildest expectations. I got sick of the constant fighting during this arc about two issues ago and hoped the finale would remedy this and give some great introspection into Superman or even Krypto. But unfortunately all these four issues have said is Krypto is a badass and a good boy. And frankly, I already knew that going in. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Koppy McFad Sep 30, 2008

The art is eye-catching and moving but it also has a painted, posed look that prevents it from fully capturing the movement and power of the characters. It almost looks like every page is intended as the cover of another comic rather than part of a story. But at least the characters in the story look more human and more relatable than they did in previous issues. And of course, Krypto comes off looking very good, like a real dog rather than a cartoon canine. Read Full Review
