We are in a great era of the turtles story. I try not to sound like a broken record when talking about this creative team, but I just cannot help myself when it comes to the fabulous team of Campbell, Pattison, Lee, & Daniel and the phenomenal job they are doing. There has never been a better time to jump into the Turtle Van and go for a ride. Read Full Review

Nelson Daniel has done some great work with the art in this issue. The character designs are fun and there are some fun details throughout the panels. There are a lot of fun visuals in this story and they capture the tone of the story well. Read Full Review

Splitting the focus a bit, the latest comic also checks in on April who the Turtles send after Baxter Stockman when discovering the Mousers (and who it appears is also in control of the Slithery). There are also a few panels which catch us up Lita‘s failed attempts to lead the other kids, whose reason for their capture has still not yet been explained, in escape. With the other Turtles now captured as well, who is coming to save the kids? Read Full Review

Hopefully this issue was simply designed to lull us into boredom and complacency before a big twist comes as the arc continues. As this stands, it is simply a forgettable placeholder. Read Full Review

    I Review Comics Sep 22, 2020

The Slithering story arc kinda stumbled out of the gate but TMNT #107 is a bit more interesting. The issue benefits from the Turtles actually doing some adventuring which hasn't happened since issue #100 of the series.

The comic focuses on the Turtles and their investigation into the disappearance of Lita and the other missing children of Mutanttown. We learn of the creature's potential origins as well as a possible connection to Mayor Baxter Stockman.

I still believe Sophie Campbell should have taken a darker tone for this arc. This has the potential to be a great horror story but she's not going in that direction. This issue has a great cliffhanger as things go from bad to worse for our heroes.
