Virulina, leader of the Darkling Lords, has discovered that the Transformers are vulnerable to magic-and now she's using that weakness to try and gain control of Cybertron and wipe them out! Leoric and Ironhide team up to stop her, but quickly find themselves facing not only the Darkling Lords, but all of New Prysmos itself!
Overall, this is a fun, exciting, and intriguing series. The war can go either way and the stakes get higher with every issue. IDW has knocked this one out of the park. Read Full Review

Overall, Transformers Vs. Visionaries #2 is exactly what a reader thinks of in terms of a progressing story. It might have a problem figuring out how fast it should go or where to focus its attention, but makes up for this with further great characterization and themes. TRANSFORMERS VS THE VISIONARIES #2 demonstrates the powers of the Visionaries' magic. As vividly illustrated the conquest of the planet is, the issue seldom highlights Ironhide and his team and brushes their involvement to fight back under the rug until the very last few pages. Read Full Review

On art, Ossio and Garcia Cruz are a pretty great team given the reader some very nice sequences. The battles between Virulina’s people and the Spectral Knights finally showcases their powers (animal specters that come from their staffs). It’s also appreciated that they make an effort to make each character distinct - an easy problem to have with a comic based on a toy/cartoon where a lot of them could sometimes be similar.
