The Mantle is not the gift that it may have originally been made out to be. Sure, it’s cool to be able to fly and to be part of a superhero team...but it’s not cool to have an indestructible, intergalactic bad-ass hellbent on your death!

    Overall, I'm still digging The Mantle. Level and Boyd alone would be worth the price of admission, but Brisson's plot has a lot of promise and I look forward to seeing where it's going. Read Full Review

    The Mantle is showcasing some great art and an intriguing open storyline with no clearly predictable plot. Some comedic lines may feel a little forced, almost like when your parents attempt to use "hip, cool language" (no offense Brisson, that's not me calling you old). This is yet another solid issue that's convinced me to stick with the series. Read Full Review
