END OF STORY ARC
Well, you wouldn't think it could get any worse for our Hobo Heroes did you? On the run from a swarm of G-Men and the Literal Devil, but well, here we are-trapped like rats in a prison?!?! Oh, what have our Sweet Boys done? How will they get to the legendary Rock Candy Mountain if they're stuck in the clink? Is this all part of Jackson's mysterious master plan? Can Pomona Slim survive the harsh confines?  We'll have to see won't we? Oh yeah, and Jackson fights the entire prison.

An excellent fight comic, though light on laughs. Read Full Review

All things considered, this is a great issue. I feel the art and color work outshine the story by a great deal but the story is still everything I've come to expect from Kyle Starks and Rock Candy Mountain. But I do still feel it was a bit of a letdown. The first arc didn't end as strong as I thought it was going to. I'll still be eagerly waiting for the book to return, though. I realy, really, really, just want my boy Jackson to find his dang mountain. Read Full Review

A slight lull then, hallway fight aside, but only because Starks has set the bar so incredibly high to this point. As a single issue theres a hell of a lot to like here, but as the conclusion to the first arc of what has been a stellar series, it does fall a little short. Still comes highly recommended, though. This is a very entertaining issue as the first arc culminates in our heroes locked in jail with all odds against them. The story is clever, the action is fun, and the continued look at hobo life continues to be fascinating. I had my reservations after the first couple of issues, but now I'm sold on "Rock Candy Mountain."

NOOOOOO!!! I finally have to ruin the run of perfect scores for this amazing book! Now this issue wasn't bad at all it just the bar has been set so high this issue felt a little off. This issue doesn't really seem to move the story forward all that much except for a bit of a cliffhanger in the last few pages. It just more or less sets up a prison fight and escape without explaining what exactly is the reasoning behind Jackson's actions. We do get a nice return of some characters from the first issue which was nice and the art as always is on point. It was bound to happen I was going to ruin this series perfect score, but this is still an amazing series EVERYONE should be reading!
