Heroes Direct - Adam Fitch Aug 19, 2016

The colours in the issue change drastically as the tension rises and Logan's rage builds, up until Gabby's death – where the page is full of reds. It's a clever way to signify different parts of the story and adds to the momentum. There's not too many characters that are entertaining and brutal as an angry Logan, and we love it. Could we see Laura, the All-New Wolverine, adopt her angry side that she's tried so hard to surpress since she assumed his identity? Read Full Review

It's also important to remember that this is the side of Wolverine Laura has actively avoided and pushed against when she took up the mantle. Gabby's death is the some of the first innocent blood Laura's had on her hands since she decided to stop being a killer. I'm really excited to see the kind of toll this is going to take on her character. She could attack Logan, blame herself, blame S.H.I.E.L.D. and Cap for provoking this strike–it could really go anywhere and make a lot of sense for the character. It's going to make for a great next issue, and really add some darkness to this new Wolverine. Read Full Review

As has been the case from the start, however, it's the top-notch characterization that makes this book shine. Read Full Review

All-New Wolverine is a great comic. Taylor knows how to write his characters in both slower, character-building issues and exciting, action-packed issues like this one. Read Full Review
