    I think my favorite thing about this book is that Liu has these X-Men off on their own. They aren't dealing with mutant threats. It isn't taking part in Avengers vs X-Men (in fact, I think it officially takes place afterwards). It's a more private look at these characters and some of what they have to deal with when they aren't teaching or leading official teams. I think the story continues to be compelling and I'm unable to predict where Marjorie will take the story - I like that. Read Full Review

    No doubt in an effort to make her characters more authentic, Liu has them conversing about their personal lives while doing extraordinary things like examining explosive nanotech worms. This worked well in previous issues, but here the wordiness of the dialogue acts as friction to the story's flow. Liu does eventually get things back on track when she has the story turn, yet again, into a twisted new direction. There might have been a wedding on a sunny day in Central Park just a few issues ago, but now Liu has delivered to the X-Men one of their darkest days. Read Full Review

    It's a more down-to-Earth X-Men story, that doesn't follow established storylines or even embody the same tone as most other X-Books. It's not my favorite book of the week, but it's good. Read Full Review
