Comic Vine - Zack Freeman Aug 11, 2010

Considering that the Jade Giant is a notoriously-hard character to do anything new or interesting with, I feel like Pak and Pelletier should get an award for making a Hulk issue as awesome as this was. The last comic I can remember having this level of spectacle was Bryan Hitch's run on Ultimates. This is probably going to be collected soon, so you'd do well to pick up the World War Hulks trade and subscribe to this book now, since a new storyline's starting next issue. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Andrenn Aug 11, 2010

This issue was worthy of the title Incredible no doubt about it. The powerful emotional core, the intense action, the great characters and the stunning artwork made Incredible Hulk #611 well worth the $3.99 price tag. Pak has well earned his place amongst legendary Hulk writers in my opinion as not only someone who gets the Hulk, but writes him so well that you both care about the character and are excited to see what happens to him next. That is something you simply do not that often in comics. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Colin Andersen Aug 17, 2010

I definitely would not say that this one issue is worth all the massive, overly drawn out stories of the past few years. There is probably some way this issue could have been written without all of it, but this is easily the closest thing I could hope for to justify it all. For those that want action, it has it, and for those that want some story and character, it has that also. Its a lot of fun to read and it is more fun than Ive had with these books in years. If you were staying away from these books since the Hulk series restarted over two years ago, now might just be a good time to come back. Read Full Review

Chuck's Comic Of The Day - Chuck Aug 13, 2010

I'm happy to see some kind of resolution here - the Hulk family of stories is just too weighed down right now with sons and "Shes" and doubles - it needs to be trimmed down to a manageable size, and if this is the first step in that process, I'm all for it. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Aug 11, 2010

But though issue #611 retains a few rough patches, this is easily the best issue of Incredible Hulk I've read in some time. I hope the new Incredible Hulks direction will be able to maintain this level of quality. If so, Hulk fans who have been cautiously optimistic of late might be able to finally let their guard down and embrace the series wholeheartedly again. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza Aug 15, 2010

I've been a marginal (at best) follower of Hulk, but this issue is a keeper. Sure, this is just another installment of the Hulk-centric events that have been going on for a while now, but this issue is a strong story taken entirely by itself. It's filled with Hulk and smashing, it offers up some background on the characters involved. It may be a smaller part of a whole, but it is a whole lot of what people read "Incredible Hulk" to see. ComicList - Brandon Borzelli Aug 13, 2010

There is a new status quo for the Hulk and there seems to be a new story over the horizon. The character may keep saying how he wants to be left alone but it's obvious to everyone involved that the supporting cast is vital to the title and is here to stay. This was a fun issue that offers a lot of action and a good story to back it all up. Pak's letter at the end puts the whole thing into perspective. This is a fun issue. Read Full Review
