Tony Moore gets to let loose here with tons of explosions, creatures, and balls to the wall action. Though some of the smaller panels suffer from muddiness, the more room that Moore has to spread out the details, the better the final product. The opening few pages are all wide-angle and cinematic that let all members of the art team do their thing to great success. As with all new ongoing launches, I'm always scared at how long they'll actually last, given how Young Allies, Spider-Girl and Namor have all been canceled, and my concern is really quite high for this title, but I hope it does at least last a year, because the set-up is smart, I like the execution thus far, and feel that the portrayal and exploration of Flash Thompson is quite well thought-out. Highly Recommended! Read Full Review

Tony Moore, with sketchy finishes by the Crime Lab guys and muddy colors by Rauch, gives us more superb illustrations this month. His Kraven looks frighteningly deranged and downright scary. Tony's action panels are classically dynamic with a contemporary grit rubbed into their open wounds. How about doing an issue of Uncanny X-Force, Tony? Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Ryan K. Lindsay May 1, 2011

"Venom" isn't as strong with the second outing, but it still offers up enough to keep readers around. Remender is cementing himself as a writer at Marvel who creates that which has not been thought of before, especially not in the Marvel U. He's taking what we know and twisting it around and while this isn't a success, it certainly isn't a failure. Read Full Review
