A very enjoyable issue exploring the side-plot of Jubilee's vampire-ism. Good character exploration, and given some more attention to Gischler's personal favourite story (the one he began his X-men run with, several years ago). The issue is mostly an average story with average art, but the continuity hit actually pulls it up a bit for me. Anyone who likes what's happened with Jubilee should be happy with this issue; otherwise it's about average unless you've been reading the series. I have, so I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars. I guess I should have known better than to hope much for the new direction of this series. Instead of an improvement on his first arc's underwhelming covert ops storyline, Gischler focuses his second arc on my least favorite aspect of the X-Men: Jubilee's vampirism. The optimist in me wants to believe that this arc is the necessary means to the end of moving past Jubilee's condition once and for all, but I just can't bring myself to wait it out.
