    Spirit Hunters seems to be an interesting series based on the clichd theme of finding things that go bump in the night, but if they are going to make fun of themselves while they do it, we might be in for a bumpy start. So many other companies have tried to make the premise interesting, but in the end, they usually fall flat on their faces.     Unfortunately, Spirit Hunters #1 squanders a good concept with its flat execution. Between the underdeveloped world and the characters that fail to register, the story by Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco never takes off. Artist Julius Abrera's artwork is great when given room to breathe, but the wordy script ends up crowding the page, limiting both Abrera's illustrations and Jorge Cortes' colors.
