Awesome issue. I was very skeptical about this series before it started a few months ago, but those doubts have disappeared. This is one of my favorite current series so far. The action is top notch. The art is off the charts. I hope this team stays on the book for a while. The arc ended nicely and I can't wait to see what the next story gives us.

I absolutely love Mera's character and she is one of the few reasons why being Aquaman just might be better than beings Bats or Supes. Who wouldn't want Mera as his queen? On any given day, Mera can give Diana a run for her money and she has occasionally. Aquaman just kicked into high gear last issue and I might go so far as to say, it might be the best book DC Rebirth has out right now. Yes inclu more

Brilliant! To put it simply, ULTIMATES2 #8 is amazing. If you had told me that Galactus, forever relegated to a "living" plot device, would become such an engaging, three-dimensional, character, I would have thought you were crazy. But ULTIMATES2 #8 proves that he is just that. Not a single member of the Ultimates appeared this issue (excepting, maybe, Galactus, himself) but you'll never not more

Ultimates 2 #8

By: Al Ewing, Aud Koch
Released: Jun 21, 2017

• Galactus faces the ultimate battle with his oldest enemy - Ego, the Living Planet!
•  But if the Devourer of Worlds could never fully defeat the Living Planet - what chance does the Lifebringer have?
•  Tell no one about the astonishing ending of this epic issue, True Believer! Some things are too good to spoil!

While the art left me a little cold, NIGHTWING #23 is, probably, my favorite issue in some time. I love superhero comics and NIGHTWING #23 is a superhero comic through and through...costumed crime-fighting, a tumultuous private life, colorful villians and a setting, in Bludhaven, that is becoming as essential to the character as his costume. I've said it before: the current run of AQUAMAN, by Dan Abnett is my favorite in all the years I've been reading comics. That said, AQUAMAN #25 has surpassed anything done in this run while being firmly rooted in and growing from what has been laid out in the previous 24 issues (plus a few issues from before REBIRTH).
