Its a pity, this is Jeff Lemire's swan song. The idea was a good one as a transitional piece, but I question the endgame. If the theme of OML is moving forward, then traveling back to the future, heh, is the wrong way to go. Some of the blame can go to Andrea Sorrentino. Bailing on this last arc is not endearing. I'm of the mindset that if an artist can't draw five or six issues in a row, at more

A continuation of a stylized romp through Wolverine's history. While it's fun and gorgeous to look at, there's no suspense or tension. Each scene is little more than a brief shot of something that Logan has no control over. However, the art and nostalgia carry this arc enough that it doesn't feel like filler, despite knowing we're halfway through it and have almost nothing new to show for it.

A solid piece setting future stories into place. Waller and the Squad must obtain something from Lex Luthor in order to advance Waller's agenda. Williams continues to do an outstanding job writing. I wanted to like this book. Cool front and back covers. A fresh new title...but it just didn't do anything for me. Sometimes a bit confusing. Sometimes a bit over-the-top. And sometimes kinda cool and interesting. Unfortunately, it just didn't all come together to make a difference. I'll probably pass on #2.

Bitch Planet is everything you’d expect from a hard-line feminist manifesto. The writing, while good, is so heavy handed with the author’s message of demonization that it’s hard to believe that her fingers didn’t crush the keys when she sent them hammering across the keyboard. Man, in this feminist dystopian future, has so fully expunged himself of anything even resembling femininity t more

A fascinating character study on the road to recovering from trauma, Jen's story continues to burn slowly into what will (hopefully) be an intense and worthwhile conclusion to this first arc. The lack of Hulking in a Hulk book is disappointing, but the deep character work and unique tone is the meat to this comic.

Its not just the hulk book. PAD, Pak, Loeb, have all done incredible character studies with the Hulk. The problems with Hulk go far deeper into a lack of coherence. Five issues in and all five of those issues could have fit into one.

All of these were drawn by Amanda Conner. Harris Comics then published two miniseries. One written by Robinson and drawn by Jusko, the other written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Amanda Conner. This revised Vampi's origins and mission. The mini series led to a new ongoing written by Grant Morrison and Mark Millar with artwork by Conner. They would write nine issues and Conner illustrated six.

Superior fan - Apr 20, 2017

Steven Grant and Conway took over writing. This series lasted for several years until it was cancelled and relaunched. Mark Miller wrote three issues, with art by Mike Mayhew. Various writers and artists have worked on the character. Alan Moore, Jeph Loeb, Bruce Timm, Jay Faeber, Fiakolv. The greatest artists have drawn her. And she had two other reboots than the ones I've listed. Dynamite has done a terrible job with the character.

First of all, it would be great to see The Creeper join the team. And this issue had generous and even character presentation on the trio. However, the 3 part set up was just good - mostly for the surprise appearances of "Robin" and "Akila" - but overall it just felt average.
