This issue was a total mixed bag for me. Sophie excels in emotional moments throughout the issue but this whole story arc has become so convoluted and disjointed that the issue felt so bloated with hand wavy solutions that it felt like a jumbled rush of a final issue. We did get some nice emotional beats with the future versions of the turtle fam throughout the arc, but it was a shame to exclude all the current timeline turtles in the final issue.

In the end this was still a good issue full of amazing art and genuine emotional moments. The whole creative team involved in this epic run deserve applause and I could not be more grateful for being treated to such amazing stories. The IDW run is my favorite of all the TMNT comics which is high praise and I can't wait to see where the next phase goes. more

This runs been so brutally repetitive and boring which continues here but I give him some credit for a few nice lines and at least moving the story forward (or so I hope).

Though this series tends to get a little hand wavy with explanations, it's so much fun and Williamson has a great feel for the arrow fam that this is one of my favorite current books at DC. So hyped to have Mia back and can't wait for more details on where she's been.

Great issue that perfectly captured the essence of what this book was capable at when at it's best, a fun cheesy action story with the scoundrels in the Star Wars universe. The problem with the series was that it would get diluted with too many new characters constantly being thrown at you without you ever giving you a reason to get invested in these characters or it would drag on side stories with the less compelling characters. In the end the series was enjoyable but nothing special.

All the books of this era have significantly struggled by dragging out the timeline before Jedi too long resulting in mediocre stories. The previous era was far superior and hope the next phase of series can recapture that magic. more

Gillon's a very talented writer and does a good job exploring sci fi concepts but they whole story's become so convoluted that it's hard to enjoy.

My 4 points go to Marchs great art. 0 to King and that is generous. I should deduct for his trash.

I just...I.... wtf was this? I give it points for art and that's about it. I read this because it had Superman on the cover and hoped King would be better at writing Clark than he is Diana but that was not to be. I know what he was going for here and I really wish he had succeeded but this just feels hollow. It's like he's writing to impress his mother.

This issue was a slog to read and I really didn't jive with King's voice for Superman especially (though not as painful as his voice for Damian & Jon). He's clearly trying to recapture the fun of Date Night (which I really liked) but failed with constant goofy lines from Superman and writing Clark very generic as if he doesn't know Bruce like a brother. So many bad jokes and lines that just made no sense for them to say ("please don't tell Darksied"). That said the final few pages taking the picture and Bruce receiving the gift were fantastic and gave me some feels to see him smile like that but it's just a shame the journey to get there was so poor. more

Started out good and I was excited to see Luke cleanse the crystal but once he enters the "evil" memories of the kyber the story really drops off. After all the warnings of this extremely dark all encompassing pain from the memories he'd endure, we're left with a very mundane boring alt reality that is just boring let alone threatening. Still decent overall but I really hope the story picks up significantly next issue. more
