Whilst there are some problems with the logic of this issue (I'm not sure that the villain most responsible for Logan's defeat could attack him in quite the way that he does here), it packs an emotional punch that's hard to escape, and for that reason it achieves its goal. This issue gives the entire "Old Man Logan" arc a tragic emotional core that will retroactively enrich earlier issues, and will give the Logan's character more dramatic weight as Millar moves the story towards its conclusion.
