This team is definitely one to watch and this issue, although questionable, is extremely intriguing and a nicely different approach to the world that has been established. This issue also gives me hope that elements of magic will be used more regularly and that we will continue to see it's juxtaposition with technology, as that is a theme that this series warrants exploring.

This issue of East of West may be holding up the story, but at least is still done with style and class, which are two things that are never in short supply with Hickmans writing and Dragottas artwork. I really hope that we get to see some progression of the story in the next issue as Im dying to see where Deaths journey will go and what happens when he gets what he is after.

So yeah, Ive said it before and Ill say it again, you should be reading this series as it is going to be something big. Just open up to the first page and if that artwork doesnt get you, then put it back, but also know that if you arent intrigued by the art, you may want to get your eyes checked.

Overall, Im glad that I picked up this series with the previous issue and, with this one, my interest became even stronger. Cant wait for the next one.
