Overall, this issue was the best of the bunch so far and added Cat-Zam to my lexicon so i'm a happy Bat Camper.

Anyway, this issue is full of laughs and even gets into the real reason so much bad shit happens to May Parker! This issue was Ace!

If you aren't reading this title because you were turned off when the book launched you really need to circle back the wagons and check out what Lemire, Sorrentino and Maiolo are doing on this book. It's a beautiful masterpiece of action and intrigue that stands out amongst DC's other offerings for its depth and uniqueness.

This title is really hitting it's stride recently. It's worth both your time and money and not only because it gets rid of you know where.

I would be remiss to not point out that the final story of this issue in particular should be one that fans of this title will no doubt enjoy. While it's not something I expected going into the title I was stoked when I got to the story. I'm not sure whether this was an advertised portion of the book and if it is then I missed it but the implications it has should please some and shock few who read my interview with Waid just a few short days ago. It seems to give a wink and a nod that a connection between two things is finally going to happen. What that is you'll just have to read and find out.While this wasn't my favorite Irredeemable title of all time it was still a good read that excited me for the potential stories coming down the pike. So if Boom! was looking to release an issue to whet readers appetite for the year to come I can honestly say I left this book hungrier for new issues then I was going into it. If this issue is any indication it should be a delicious year ahead.

It's a solid issue that does an eXcellent job of priming the reader and then sending them into combat with the mutants.

The Bounce #2 has all of the elements of a good book and is a good book. The problem is it could be a great book if it were able to break the been there done that chains that bind it.

In a loaded week this is one book you can easily skip to roster another book on your pull list.
