Overall, One Piece: Ace's Story Vol. 1 is a decent read for die-hard One Piece fans who crave any additional lore or backstory on characters they love. It offers a glimpse into Ace's early journey and the camaraderie within the Spade Pirates. However, those expecting a high-stakes adventure with intense action sequences might be left wanting.

One Piece: Ace's Story Vol. 2 is an intriguing and welcomed spin-off of Oda's masterpiece of a story. While I heavily enjoyed the volume, with the trajectory shown in each volume, the next one should be even better.
