It's not great on it's own, but if you followed Prometheus: Fire and Stone, I would keep reading on for continuity. Plus it does hint at more answers to be had and links to be drawn between the last series and Predator: Fire and Stone.

If you're looking for a strong female heroine, plenty of fisticuffs and some interesting characters, Chris Warner's Barb Wire could be a good comic to follow. She's no super-hero, she's real and she's still pretty bad-ass. I would keep an eye on this one.

For a comic written and drawn "on a cell phone in the middle of a thunderstorm" this is a pretty enjoyable and visually appealing read. This one gets the go ahead to buy from me.

A good read I would say. Even if it's not a masterpiece, its also not a massive investment, running only 3 issues.

Once again I have to say this to a hero of mine " Doctor, this hurts me more than its hurts you.

While it isn't a spectacular read, it does have me intrigued to know what happens next. And I think that's exactly what a first issue should do.

If you asked me yes or no, I would say this doesn't really seem like it's worth following. Sad, because the premise and origin was so much fun.

The only thing that threw me off, and admittedly this is hard one to get around" the sound FX sound so ridiculous. I mean "SKRONK"?! But anyway, a decent read, and a heavy hitter in the action department, I would look into the series, though this single issue is not particularly worthy of purchase.

Now while I don't judge its contents particularly highly, a massive redeeming factor is the 3D holographic cover. It looks pretty bad-ass and I think if you're a collector, you can't pass up having something one-off like this in your collection.

A much better script than the Green Lantern one-shot that DC released last week, I feel I can securely recommend this issue. The narrative was well drawn out, which helped me get invested. The character development is rushed (come on it's just a 20 page comic!) but there is plenty of action and great visuals.

Its entertaining. Its light. Its silly. I love it.

Bendis has done a nice job scripting this comic out, and its made my list of regular reads. I would suggest it make yours too.

This is not just a must-buy but, I predict, a must-follow. No super powers. No super friends. But this Duck definitely has potential.

The artwork is fun, immature and a bit spastic. The story is interesting and while the educational part is fairly prominent, it is still engaging enough not to lose you too easily. If you're a parent, this might be a nice way to trick your brats into getting into science.

Before we move on though, fans of the old Lobo are going to be upset. I admit I was too. Lobo's greatest selling point was his attitude. He was crass, loud, shoot-first, don't give a rats ass fun. But he also had his good moments" As long as it was profitable to be good. So does this new comic change all that? Maybe. But I don't think that's such a bad thing. The new guy has sparks of Lobo's cockiness and he definitely has a sense of hunour. So let's give him a chance.

Buy it for your kids if you want them to have the literary equivalent of a pound of sugar. Don't buy it ironically and comment on the state of society and DEFINITELY don't buy this and lock yourself in a room telling yourself you're a pretty boy"

As if the title and cover of this new series wasn't ominous enough, this first issue does more than enough to sustain an enigmatic aura around Grant Morrison's newest adventure.

Such fun and engaging artwork. Not much story in this one issue, but a decent set up for more to come. This feels like one worth following for a good, fun, light read.

Hmmm" I can't say I'm very tempted to keep reading. There are light-reads and then there are just silly reads. It is however only a 6-parter so if you're a younger reader or not looking to make a lengthy commitment, you may like it.

Anytime someone runs with the whole dark side of Christian mythology thing, they usually get my attention, and with an underdog this dark I'm intrigued to keep reading just to see who I actually want to pull for. I say this is worth a watch.

I really am hard pressed to find something I did not like about this comic, it probably gets the highest score of anything I have reviewed here so far! And I think it deserves it. I now definitely want to get my hands on its tie-up " Robin Rises Omega!

While I liked how it looked, and it brought back some good memories, its just not going to get scored well on nostalgia alone.

I like the concept. I probably will pick up other issues, provided they feature beloved characters, but it's just not for everyone and I'm afraid most of you would not be too happy about spending the equivalent of 5$ on this issue.

But, apart from waxy faces, I'm quite a fan of the use of colour and shadow to lend some real emotional resonance to this story. From the voids of space glittered with stars, to the ambient glow of scans in the sick bay, the artists of this issue have done well to tow a line between eye-catching detail, that at the same time doesn't distract from the flow of the panels.

Why aren't you reading this yet? It's a great mini-series. A wonderful pick-me-up for avid fans and casual readers alike.

It's not novel, but it looks like a decent read.

If you've read my reviews before you know I'm rarely this flattering and almost never this generous. Which means if you haven't already decided to pick up this comic, I have no more words for you.

If you're looking for something visually simple yet appealing, without being too much of a thinker, I think this is a decent comic for you.

All-in-all, I am cautiously optimistic about this series.
