Final opinions on the writing will need to wait until the series is done. The high concept is enough to keep me interested. The execution of the first issue was solid but not spectacular. Several initial aspects of the opening storyline seem familiar within my knowledge of ‘genre’ entertainment but I’m hoping that Williams can turn those in such a way as to bring fresh light on storied techniques.
