3 Floyds: Alpha King #1

Overall, the art is enjoyable, but the story feels like a rehash of themes we have seen before. I would recommend getting the book simply because of the art. If you miss old school Lobo, then you can see some the work by the man who painted him best. |

Back to the Future: Citizen Brown #1

I cannot help but wonder if writing a story in the past would be challenging for some people, due to most modern comics that reference the internet or cell phones. The internet was before Marty's time. Just imagine Marty's kids going back and forgetting that Google could not help them find information. Now I feel old, but not as old as Bob Gale. |

Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor: Year Two #5

I really loved this story. The way the writer engages with the readers with the story was brilliant in the sense of such episodes of the series has the Doctor talking to the viewers of the show. At first it bothers me that the Doctor seems angry all the time. It's the eyebrows. The artist, Stott, shows that he isn't always angry but that is his default expression. |

Mae #1
May 16, 2016 |
Mae is definitely a comic that depends on the reader to pick up the next book to see if these questions will be answered. As I said before, it has the chance of being something great, but only time will tell. There is a pinup section. Amanda Conner's name does not hurt one bit. Fans of her work will probably check the book out just for her. |

TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything #1
May 31, 2016 |
There are four artists on this book. I did not even notice as I was reading the story. Looking back over the pages, I noticed that Bebop's hair changes. It goes from being fluffy to being straight. But that is ok. The art is on par with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics out there today. |

TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything #2
Jun 10, 2016 |
If you like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or just want to see Bebop and Rocksteady destroy everything, you should pick up this comic. I am enjoying the comedic relief of seeing Bebop and Rocksteady fight and make up like an old married couple. This story has the potential to become bro-mance, because bros always have each others back, even when being chased by the mean green fighting machines. Might as well have fun while running. |
