While "Adventures of Supergirl" #1 is an excellent introduction to a charming, lively character, it feels a little too fast-paced for its page count. However, if you love Supergirl, the story will likely be everything you wanted out of this series. It's close enough to the TV show to please die-hards, but fun enough to entertain casual fans.

Overall, if you've been enjoying Riverdale's finest in this relaunch, you'll bask in the fun of "Archie" #7. While not the strongest installment, it's engaging. Barring the very quick wrap-up, it definitely deserves a spot on your shelf.

"Batman: Rebirth" #1 is a solid introduction to Tom King's Batman. Scott Snyder helps co-write a loving farewell and yet another brilliant piece of storytelling, while King and Janin effectively lay out a horrific spin on an underused villain, give us almost no details on what's to come and leave readers on a cliffhanger that will have them begging for more. Batman fans can't ask for much more than that!

Overall, Bendis and Coipel's "Civil War II" #0 serves the sole purpose of laying out the foundation for the series. Despite being driven almost entirely by dialogue, it's never once boring, and the only real issue is the question on everyone's minds: Where is Iron Man? My hopes are very high for "Civil War II," and hopefully we'll see just where Tony Stark fits into everything soon.

In the end, "Doctor Strange: Last Days of Magic" #1 is an issue meant to supplement the current arc for "Doctor Strange" readers. However, it's hit-or-miss at best, as it doesn't spend enough time on the more enjoyable characters or concepts of the Marvel universe.

All-in-all, fans of Christopher Eccleston's Doctor, Rose Tyler and Captain Jack Harkness will find "Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor" #1 to be an almost pitch-perfect continuation of their adventures. This enjoyable issue will leave fans clamoring for the next installment.

Overall, the "Apocalypse Wars" has been lackluster, and "Extraordinary X-Men" #10 doesn't do much to maintain interest in the mini-event. While the writing and art are great at times, it isn't quite enough to keep the series on people's pull list for much longer.

If you're a die-hard fan of silly fun with a healthy dose of random violence, you will absolutely enjoy everything Ryan Ottley's "Grizzly Shark" has to offer.

While the crossover is a fun idea in theory, it remains to be seen if these two properties can unite to become a successful miniseries. Nailing the tone of both stories will be a bit of a challenge, but -- if the first issue is any indication -- this creative team won't have much of a problem. With five more issues yet to come, there's lots of potential for "Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy" to become a heartwarming all-ages tale of friendship.

Overall, "Snotgirl" #1 is a bold and nuanced first issue that explores both what it's like for those with anxiety as well as the pressure we all put on ourselves in a refreshing and introspective way, all while delivering one hell of a story.

While this Han Solo isn't the confident smuggler fans know and love quite yet, that ends up being a good thing for "Star Wars: Han Solo." Liu and company create one hell of an escapade aboard the Millennium Falcon and -- now that the race is getting under way -- it's going to be a wild ride. "Han Solo" explores another fantastic corner of the franchise and will definitely be a worthy addition to fans' pull lists.

On the whole, "Poe Dameron" #2 adds even more perfect world-building to the lovingly crafted new Expanded Universe. There's care in every detail, from character likenesses to callbacks in the names of ships to footnotes about the novels. If you've enjoyed what Marvel has offered so far in their "Star Wars" titles, "Poe Dameron" will not disappoint.

As a first issue, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" #1 doesn't quite cut it. Without that spark that made "The Force Awakens" special, it reads like a blunt summary of the film. Since they don't add anything new, Wendig and Ross just don't provide any incentive to return to the series. Nevertheless, you can still be immersed in a galaxy far, far away; just leave this series behind and use your credits to buy "Star Wars: Poe Dameron" or "Star Wars: Han Solo" instead.
