The Absence is terrific, an unassuming and captivating graphic novel that feels at once very strange and very familiar, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the team have to say (particularly in regards to it's "Britishness"). If you haven't already " go read it!

Barbiere, Santos, and Metcalfe have done a brilliant job of creating a world of shades of grey, where Ray Willis fits almost perfectly the old ethical example of the man who steals bread to feed his family. Black Market #1 reminds me a little of The Boys, and that is surely a good thing. It has the potential to be a great mini-series, and I highly recommend you read it!

School of Bitches " Genesis is still just about hanging on. The art continues to impress in some ways, but the story still feels flat, and I'm finding it difficult to really care what happens to either character.
