Arrow #1
Dec 1, 2012 |
Though the comic has room for improvement, the third chapter alone makes this issue worthwhile and provides substantial grounds for speculation that China White is destined to become an important character in the show. Crucial pieces of back story that help to flesh out characters, like the one doled out in this chapter, are what I hope to see more of in future Arrow comics. It's yet to be seen whether or not this will be. |

Superboy (2011) #15

By the end of the comic, they agree to find a way to defeat Hel together. In fact, the ending seems rather anti-climatic until, in a surprising twist, Hel mysteriously appears in the midst of Supermans haven, and commandeers the place for himself, throwing them both out. |

Supergirl (2011) #15
Jan 31, 2013 |
At first glance Supergirl #15 is beautifully illustrated, with artwork impressive enough that it wouldn't be surprising if it were to literally leap off the page. The detail put into each character's facial expression is fantastic, and the color scheme used throughout is flawless. However, it was hard not to notice that Supergirl is incredibly thin, not just to the point of being in shape, as one could reasonably expect of Superhero, but to the point where her body proportions are alarmingly reminiscent of someone struggling with an eating disorder. |
