Batman and Robin (2011) #34

Aug 26, 2014

This "Robin Rises" storyline has been fantastic so far, and I can't wait to see its finale! Will Bruce recover Damian? Will Damian be alive when he's found? Tune in next month,"same Bat-time,"same Bat-channel!

Batman: Eternal #18

Aug 12, 2014

Overall, the story is acceptable for a weekly DC published title, and one of the better issues in this series so far.

Detective Comics (2011) Annual #3

Aug 5, 2014

Again, I'm not a HUGE fan of Annuals, but this one is definitely worth the buy,"especially if you're a Batman fan and especially if you're enjoying the storyline going on in Detective right now. Pick it up!

Grayson #1

Jul 15, 2014

I hope the next few issues of Grayson focus on expanding the story, becoming more unique and less routine. I hope the characters become more complex and less predictable. As a standalone issue in an ongoing series, this would be acceptable. As a first issue, it leaves me wanting. Here's hoping Grayson gets better.

Green Arrow (2011) #34

Aug 12, 2014

In the end, the good guys lick their wounds; Henry is taken away in an ambulance and Naomi kisses his forehead, letting him know she cares for him. Naomi and Ollie hug one another, as a goodbye, and Emiko and Diggle meet for the first time,"which is HILARIOUS! Our last page is an amazing pin up of Ollie and Emiko on a rooftop, each with bows drawn facing in separate directions,"she's undoubtedly the greatest sidekick since Damian Wayne! A PEFECT ending to a PERFECT run! Thanks guys!

Justice League United #3

Jul 15, 2014

We're only three issues in (four if you count issue #0) and Justice League United is knocking it outta the park with every issue. Jeff Lemire proves he's not only an extremely talented writer but also a versatile one. His writing style in this book in comparison to Green Arrow is night and day. But both books give us fantastic stories that are among DC's best right now.

Storm #2

Aug 26, 2014

This issue shows done-in-ones are not only possible, but can be great! Though the focus of this main character is an amazing black woman, I believe this book can be enjoyed by people of all colors, nationalities, ages, and both genders.

Uncanny X-Men (2013) #24

Aug 5, 2014

This storyline TOTALLY has my attention, and this may be a good jumping on point for those that either were X-Men readers and want to return, or want to become brand-new X-Men readers.

Wonder Woman (2011) #33

Jul 29, 2014

This book is SO freakin' awesome, and those of us that have become Wonder Woman fans, in some cases for the first time since her reinvention in The New 52, are really going to lose out when this creative team ends its run with issue #35. If DC had any degree of intelligence when it comes to Wonder Woman, they'd give Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang a blank check and beg them to stay for a minimum of 100 issues.
