Damage (2018) #3

Mar 28, 2018

Damage #3 is a good book with a great fight scene and not much else. The ending was a nice addition to the plot but otherwise, there doesn't seem to be much keeping me entertained. I will always keep in mind that a new hero on the scene was able to take out the suicide squad and Wonder Woman. The writing of Tony S. Daniel and Robert Venditti coupled with the art stylings of Danny Miki is enjoyable. If you're looking for some light reading with a lot of action I recommend picking this up but if you like more character in your superhero stories: This isn't for you.

Dodge City #1

Mar 8, 2018

Dodge City #1 is just simply an excellent read. I cannot wait for the next issue to figure out where the series will go. I haven't enjoyed a non-Superhero series like this in a long time. There is anelement of “fun” that I found while reading which is still picking at me. Here's hoping the series continues to run as amazingly as this issue.

Eternity Girl #1

Mar 15, 2018

This series is honestly worth the look. It makes me want to look into the crossover event that brought about this title, as well as the others involved. If you're a fan of great storytelling and excellent visuals to boot, check out this series and don't look back. This is the kind of thing I would expect from Eisner- and GLAAD-nominated writer Magdalene Visaggio and Eisner award-winning artist Sonny Liew. All I have left to say is that I cannot wait for the next issue and also hope for much more down the road.

Peek-A-Boo #1

Mar 17, 2018

Peek-A-Boo #1 is a series that is brimming with potential but doesn't quite deliver. I personally wish I could have enjoyed it more than I did. This is a five-part series, so there is always the chance that the writing picks up going forward. The only real thing this issue has going for it is the art, whichI wholeheartedly enjoyed.
