Paul Brian McCoy and David Wallace Comic Reviews

Whilst I've mentioned the Doom Patrol-esque misfit vibe of the book in earlier reviews (a similarity that continues here), I overlooked another obvious influence that makes itself particularly keenly felt this issue: the early Marvel work of Steve Ditko, in particular his Doctor Strange stories. The character of Plokta is highly reminiscent of Ditko's design for Eternity, a character that appeared in Doctor Strange in the 1960s.
