On a whole the Adventure Time comic isnt dissimilar from the show it was born from. All the elements are all there to make it a success. The tongue-in-cheek humor, over the head of children jokes, outside the margin messages. Its perfect for children and adults, again just like the show.

The comic although visually similar to the show, was a letdown story-wise. "Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake" #1 has trouble finding its footing to develop a concrete foundation for a sturdy comic. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out by issue # 2.
