Archangel #1

May 15, 2016

With a creative team that is built for suspense and with this title only in its first issue one would be very remiss if they didn't take a chance on this new title from IDW. Archangel will most definitely be an unexpected treat this summer.

Danger Girl: Renegade #4

Feb 29, 2016

It is great to see the Danger Girls in action again! Hartnell did a wonderful job in blending past and present events throughout the mini series. The Art was fastpaced with great heart wrenching action sequences. The cover art is almost too dope for words! But when the cover artist as J Scott Campbell he could draw stick figures and it would still be breathtaking to look at. I would highly recommend this series to the Die-hard DG fan or someone who is picking up the title for the 1st time. Check this title out now! The Extra tale in this comic is worth noting. Wynonna Earp looks to be a very intriguing zombie title and I cant wait to write a review about that one.

Doc Savage: The Spider's Web #3

Feb 15, 2016

The creative team did an excellent job of breathing new life into a character that predates almost every hero known to man today. Roberson does great work filling in the readers on why Savage is such a classic while simultaneously keeping things modernized and interesting. Razek's art is stunning and flows very well with the story. I wish that the interior artist also did the cover art which visually is the only drawback. My only concern is that with so many other similar hero's like Doc Savage and his crew around today this title will be easily overlooked and that is too bad for one of comics original heroes.

Drive #4

Mar 11, 2016

The artwork is very dark and gritty which is highly complementary to the tone of this tale which itself is dark and gritty. Except for the very end the writing kept me on my toes, no pun intended when Isay this tale is a wild ride. The details on the cars are amazing and you can tell the team took great lengths to make sure the driving action sequences were as good as its movie counterpart. A neat bonus are the Tips from a driver that appear at the end of each book. How many comics give tips on how to do exactly what the title character is great at?!?!? This book is definitely worth the trip, just don't try any of it at home.

Island #7

May 12, 2016

Long story short island is what I hope to be a new wave of comics a visual and literary showcase where hungry young talent fight to become the next big thing in an industry that desperately needs the next big thing. Island is not the type of comic you stuff in a crate with thousands of other comics island is the type of book that you sit on the coffee table on display for your friends to see to show how Smart and cool you really are.

James Bond #4

Feb 8, 2016

Right off the bat I noticed that the artist Jason Masters totally abandoned the safe route, and decided to draw a truly unique 007, not borrowing from any of the movies. Overall the art is very clean except the action scenes which were deliciously graphic. The writing perfectly matched the pace the movies are known for, knowing exactly when to add plot twists and when to add that 007 dry wit we all know and love. This is an awesome title and seeing as though its only at issue 4 its a perfect time to jump on.

Limbo #3

Jan 13, 2016

Limbo is a fresh new title that gets the noir genre right. Dan Watters' writing fills you with anticipation at every turn of the page, and Caspar Wijngaard's sultry art style will definitely fog up your glasses. Jump on this title while it's in its infancy; it is a treat.

Mirrors Edge: Exordium #6

Feb 8, 2016

By Issue #6 Faith is left with a hard choice to make. Having been turned away by Noah and under a strict time limit by Dogen, Faith has no other option but to fend for her self and basically break the runners' code. By issues end there are more questions, answers, and hints to another story arc. Expect big things from Mirrors Edge in 2016!

Prophet: Earth War #4

May 13, 2016

For the hard-core nostalgic image comics fan this title is definitely for you, but for the casual fan it's best to possibly just leave this one on the shelf.

Sex #27

May 3, 2016

With what appears to be way too many storylines for the human mind to keep up with in this story this title falls terribly short of interesting. In most cases sex cells in this case it doesn't. This book should never see the light of day again, let alone a comic book store shelf.

The Tomorrows #5

May 9, 2016

The writing Kept me spellbound. The poetry exerpts at the beginning of each story really set the tone for the rest of the issue. My heart raced with the turn of every page in anticipation for what was to come. Each character seems to have the potential for rich back stories that keep readers coming for more. If you've grown tired of seeing the same characters doing the same things over and over and take a departure from reality and take a step towards the Tomorrow's.
