In the end, its a heartfelt story of friendship and family. Its a story young Latinx children would love with characters they can resonate with, while also having the explanations/translations added so that children of other cultures can enjoy them and learn something new. We desperately need these voices to reach young ones ears and I applaud the creators for a really good story that anyone can enjoy. I place Lemon, Pepper, and Huggz on the same pedestal as P, B & J; Goofy, Donald, and Mickey or any other beloved trio for that matter. I cant wait to see more of their adventures in future issues.

The Family is a fun read, and the illustrations are beautifully done in a unique style reminiscent of Lenore creator Roman Dirge. You can see Pat Higginss talent and skill shining brightly in this book, which conjures up nostalgia of reading old comics and graphic novels under the covers with a flashlight.
