I recommend Bullet Gal #1 – Carnage as an interesting indie comic to check out!

The panel arrangement and layout were well-done along with the lettering work. The art in this issue felt like it was drawn by two different artists at times. Some of the characters bodies seemed a little out of proportion, with the legs and arms seemingly having a life of their own. Chastity was done well by Dave Acosta. The colors by Thiago Ribeiro and the use of shadows help this issue with its horror tone. I really enjoyed the available covers for this issue, which are amazing visually for this rebooted character.

The art by Aneke has a smooth look to it from the first page to the final panel. Each character gets proper attention and just enough detail to make themselves and their situations within this issue visually appealing. There were a few visuals that seemed to be less in composition, but as a whole Aneke did an outstanding job on this issue.

Dark Horse Presents #7 or #200 is a momentous occasion with an amazing cover gallery, and a whopping 80 pages for only $4.99. The positive aspects of this issue are the varied story content and the wide range of artistic talent, the only negative is that some stories within the issue may not be too new reader friendly. Heres to the next 200 issues of DHP!

Flash Gordon continues to be a comic series not to be missed. The final few pages will keep the reader in suspense who gets introduced next month.

Kewber Baals artwork is solid from the first panel to the final page. Great character renditions accompanied by realistic backgrounds, considering all that the text of the issue asks of the illustrator. Also, found the cover art by Colton Worley realistic and amazing as well!

The art duties are again handled professionally by Kewber Baal, each panel is detailed enough pencil work to evoke the right feel of this tale of chaos and violence to reach believable level. The cover art by Segovia adds even more to readers interest of this first issue. And the color work by InLight Studios added to the mix, where the beginning of this comic run becomes something more. In other words: the visual side of this first issue is exactly where it needs to be.

If you are a reader who have looked at Dynamite's many Mars titles and wondered which series to start with? John Carter: Warlord of Mars Special (One-Shot) #1 is the one!

The story progression and character interaction makes Magnus: Robot Fighter #6, a worthwhile read!

The art by Casas is absolutely amazing. The opening pages are stunning, along with the detail and character work on Red Sonja, the Vikings, and the little cub as well as the landscape. The second part of the story in the city and arena are just as detailed and crisp. Its just that the winter wonderland makes for some great visuals. His art is further elevated by the coloring from Roberts as well. Red Sonja: Berserker is a quick and enjoyable one-shot. The story and art makes this one worth checking out if you see it at the comic shops.

The art by Cezar Razek looks great with the fight sequences well-choreographed, as well as the tower look, and the opening pages to show the debauchery going on. This artist is well-suited for drawing the human form. He does however need some work when it comes to monsters. The panel arrangement and layout were well-done along with the lettering work. The colors are vivid and pop off the page, and I really enjoyed the cover art by Amanda Conner and the cover colors by Paul Mounts for this issue.

Definitely, a recommended read!

The art by Marc Laming is outstanding, giving this issue an intense and gritty appearance. His ink work and rough shading really allows definition within the characters, allowing expressions to be more dynamic. The vivid color work by Ian Herring makes the issue a complete work with Lamings art. I did enjoy the cover art by Laming as well, which really captures the black-ops stealth and suspense elements. Splinter Cell: Echoes is an intense thriller proving both exciting and mysterious, and very well recommended.

Swords of Sorrow: Dejah Thoris & Irene Adler #1 is a solidly put together issue that moves quickly, gets the foundations laid out in the characters and begins the adventure in a fun way.

Casas art definitely gives the fantasy theme with great work on the characters and especially the action scenes! I noticed the great use of darkness and shadows in this issue by Casas as well. The great color work by Kirsty Swan makes the covers and interior art even more vivid. All the covers available are just amazing in detail of the main character, Elizabeth! Also noted, the simplistic and appropriate lettering work by Marshall Dillon.

The Lone Ranger: Vindicated #4 was pretty gripping and exciting; I may have to pick up the three previous to get the whole story. Definitely, a recommended read!

Timpanos art has dynamic layouts and shapes being used for the panel arrangement. It really draws the reader into the story, and the jungle landscapes are very lush and realistic. There is a flashback sequence that really stands out as well. Timpano has a real touch for showing the storys historical moments in stylized flashback sequences. The colors are rich throughout the issue, but especially during the big gun battle scene.

The art of each story is provided by three different artists: Randy Valiente, Edu Menna, and Rod Rodolfo. Valiente and Rodolfo provided the classic comic art expected in terms of the paneling, expressions, and gestures of the characters Mennas work is the most textured and free-spirited, theres some unique paneling work and his texturing makes his art a positive visual aspect. He does need some work when it comes to monsters. I really enjoyed the Twilight Zone cover art by Roberto Castro and the cover colors by Valentina Pinto for this issue.

Pak and Colak work very well together. Pak sets Turok up as superior character, both in his sensibilities and his abilities, though he has been set apart by his parents, who did something unspeakable to the tribe when Turok was a child. It is for these sins that he is still persecuted and the reason that he lives by the mantra alone is better. Colaks detail and layouts were particularly impressive, he adds a lot of tone and emotion to the story through the characters facial expressions, and especially when it came to Turok, showing the sudden change from joy to lack of emotion perfectly in this first issue. Add to this dynamic action along with the terrific colors by Affe. This issue is very visually enticing, along with all the covers available. Definitely, looking forward to future issues of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. The Hunt begins again!

The art by Takeshi Miyazawa is simply top-notch and compliments Paks writing! His fluid pencils and bold ink are very striking. The dynamic layouts also give a dramatic flair to the issues climactic events. Luigi Andersons colors adds depth to this issue with his soft palette. Excellent lettering by Dillon and the great cover art by Sears and Lee just completes the entire package!

Vampirella #38 may be the final issue for Dynamite Entertainment. But, Im sure this character will be back!

This new volume of Vampirella contains vivid detailed artwork by Patrick Berkenkotter. The colors by Jorge Sutil exude the ferocity due a classic dark heroine. The design of the Krause makes this issue memorable, and the use of shadows and colors gives this issue a definite horror-like tone to it. The action depicted is hard-hitting and visually vivid as well! The available covers for this issue are amazing visually for the iconic, scarlet-clad heroine. There are definitely great cover artists on this creative team.

Overall, Vampirella #100 is a diverse collection of five stories, each offering a distinct take on the character, but nothing really sets this apart as celebratory despite its 48 page length. The writing and artwork are top-notch and there are four vivid covers available for this issue. One positive aspect concerning this issue, its a good jumping on point for new readers of Vampirella!

There is a little continuity to previous Dynamite – Vampirella stories, this is new stuff. If a reader starts with this issue (like myself for this review), the story may be difficult to understand. The good news is most comic shops will have the back issues. This comic mini-series needs to read in sequence.

The two available covers for this issue are amazing! The first by Fabiano Neves with an eye catching shot of Dejah from behind. Shes raising a staff to command an army of green men forward to attack a citadel. The second cover is by Jay Anacleto who continues to do absolutely amazing work on Dejah. This time shes sporting a long battleax while wearing incredibly ornate jewelry (this artists signature detail). Shes surrounded by three large wolf-like predators, definitely a great combo of the beauty and the beasts.
