This continues to be a "long strange trip" through a well-conceived story that I feel privileged to take, and I hope more of you will either stay aboard or join in to see what's coming, especially now that a few more people's fates seem to hang in the balance.

A Thing Called Truth #2, by Image Comics, begins to answer some questions raised by its kick-off. We get even more reasons to invest interest in our main characters, and more curiosity about how this story will go forward from here. I am happy to say that this both satisfies and leaves this reader wanting even more from the next issue.

From the moment I first got a good look at his work, I felt like I was seeing some completely engaging fusion of punk and funk music rendered visually.

This is an enjoyable read from start to finish, and the sort of thing I like for its ability to take me out of my head. It is as far from my real life as I can get without science fiction. Is it for everyone? It's not for the kids, sorry. But I am sure I'm far from the only one who is tall enough to ride this ride and willing to stand in line for it. It's also not surprising that it packs a lot of power to entertain, given Ardai's talent for weaving plot elements and setting just the right mood for this caper. The entire creative team makes this more than the average romp. I'm looking forward to revisiting these characters, both in this story in its collected form, and in planned spin-offs and future storylines too.

For me, Mad Cave Studios is synonymous with both versatility and a great time. OVER THE ROPES: BROKEN KEYFABE #1 is a great example of all of this. It also reunites a great creative team, who was also responsible for the first stand-alone arc of OVER THE ROPES.
