This is truly the single best Crossed storyline ever, with characters you can genuinely care for, a truly hopeful end, and no going overboard on the torture porn. The only criticism I might venture is that it was far too short; it could easily have been as long as Crossed +100 (which as far as I recall was 18 issues and ended on a baffling note). I would absolutely love to follow the continuing adventures of Fleshcook, Archivist Julie, Nina, and Fleshcook's two unnamed Crossed sidekicks in a sequel. Beautiful. I would like to emphasise that the above review is for the main story only. I have zero interest in the "American History" portion, though the art (and I'm a comic strip creator myself) is superb.
