Half of the students are in the infirmary thanks to the fight. The Library's quartermaster Zinovy tries to retrieve the new shadow from Nightingale in order to give it over to Praskovya. Lilia learns that all shadows serving at the Library are actually dead people and there's no other fate for a bookwizard than early death... And the trial of Baron and other rebel characters is starting.
