    First Wave ends as definitively as one might expect from the first arc of an ongoing series. Sadly, this isn't an ongoing series. We can only hope that DC has further plans for this universe, and that Azzarello will remain involved. With so many cookie cutter superhero books on the market, First Wave has offered something decidedly different and more pulp-influenced. It deserves a longer lease on life. Read Full Review

    It's a shame this series (and the First Wave line) didn't catch on - it was a worthy effort at giving these characters a proper vehicle for their adventures. Hopefully the next attempt will be more successful. Read Full Review
