May 21, 2008As in the case of his Robin, Dixon is at his strongest while peppering action scenes with witty character exchanges, and there are plenty of zingers to add color to this issue's proceedings. Dixon is a damn capable Batman writer as well, and he captures the Dark Knight's ruthless leadership role perfectly without making him too much of a jerk, something that many modern writers would have a tough time pulling off. Plus, his Metamorpho usually steals any scene he's in, which will please any fan who suffered through the recent Year One miniseries or Winick's take on the character. Together with the boldly rendered artwork of Carlos Rodriguez, Dixon has made The Outsiders a fun but not quite exceptional (at least not quite yet) read. Read Full Review
