Comics Bulletin - Ray Tate
Oct 30, 2004Solo's debut is a good showcase for Tim Sale' artwork. Diana Schutz's Supergirl story is outstanding. Cooke's tale is fun, and Sale's own vignettes are worth reading. Azarello's story which is not to my taste gives Sale a superb opening for period artwork, and Loeb's story entertains up to the point where he blows it all. The first issue of Solo impresses.
